Watch Aston Villa vs Newcastle live streams to see which Premier League team can secure victory at Villa Park and book their place in the draw for the fifth round of the FA Cup.
Third in the Premier League table and having eased into the knockout rounds of the Europa League, it’s been another excellent campaign thus far for Aston Villa. Unai Emery’s side have been particularly strong at home, winning 13 of their last 15 games, including last time out when they secured a hard-fought 1-0 win over Brighton.
In addition to their strong home record, Villa have are unbeaten in their last three games against Newcastle, having already travelled to St. James’ Park this season and secured a comfortable 2-0 win. That victory came just last month, with a superb strike by Emi Buendia and a late header by Ollie Watkins ending a 17-game winless run on Tyneside.
While Villa have shown remarkable consistency, it is been hard to know what to expect from Newcastle this season. Currently 10th in the league, they were well beaten by Man City in the semi-finals of the Carabao Cup and were shocked 3-2 at home by Brentford earlier this month.
Eddie Howe’s side have also been extremely poor on the road, with just four away wins in 20 games across all competitions this season. However, they secured a deserved win at Tottenham last time out and have excelled in cup competitions recently, winning the Carabao Cup last season and reaching the semi-finals this year.
