Frankie Osborne (Isabelle Smith) is left with little choice but to come clean to her loved ones in Hollyoaks next week when they overhear her talking about her future plans.

The teen, as viewers know, has long dreamt of going to dance school in London and, following a number of ordeals she endured over the past few years, she’s decided to grab life with both hands.

In recent scenes, Frankie tentatively shared the news with Vicky Grant (Anya Lawrence), whose reaction wasn’t exactly what she was hoping for.

However, it transpired that Vicky’s unexpected response was simply because she’ll miss Frankie. The two friends made up in subsequent scenes.

Frankie’s family, however, remain in the dark about her future plans – that is, until next week.

On the day of Jack (Jimmy McKenna) and Pearl’s (Dawn Anderson) engagement party, which is a joint event with Ste Hay (Kieron Richardson) and Rex Gallagher’s (Jonny Labey), Frankie is taken aback when dad Darren (Ashley Taylor Dawson) overhears her discussing dance school.

When confronted, Frankie realises she has to reveal the truth. She’s been accepted into dance school.

Hollyoaks spoilers! Also in the village next week...

John Paul is unable to face his loved ones ahead of his departure and thus he leaves a series of letters.

Hoping they’re not too late, the McQueens desperately try to track him down before he leaves.

They’re successful, locating JP at the rehab clinic with Mercedes, where a heartfelt goodbye ensues.

Mercedes, meanwhile, completes her last therapy session and checks out, returning to the village.

Warren is relieved when Gemma admits she doesn’t regret their night together but a big shock is in store when Merce arrives back and proposes that both she and Gemma share Warren!

Rex orders women’s clothes but when they arrive, Ste sends them away, believing they were delivered to the wrong address. Having seen this, Ro suggests to Diane that she needs a new wardrobe, offering to take some of her clothes to charity. Instead, he leaves the bag for Rex.

Rex tries on Diane’s clothes – just as Froggy walks through the door.

Layer, he opens up to Ro about exploring his identity through wearing women’s clothes. Ro listens without judgement, reminding Rex that Ste loves him.

At the joint engagement party, Ste is devastated to learn Leah won’t make it home. Dillon and Ste, meanwhile, put the past behind them while Jack fawns over Pearl and Diane misses Tony, who is with Dom.

Elsewhere, Sienna presses Sophie – who has been withdrawn and off school for weeks – for answers. But will she find anything out? It’s an emotional week for the florist, who has a big meeting with social services to determine where Joseph will live while Cleo is in hospital.

Things take a turn, however, when both she and Myra fail the checks, meaning Joseph will be placed in foster care. They realise that Leela has passed and thus Sienna pleads with the social worker to buy her some time so that she can speak to her friend.

Leela is conflicted but, after speaking to Cleo, she agrees to help.

The question is: just how will Darren react? And is this really a goodbye of Frankie?

Later, she was targeted for exploitation by Grace Black (Tamara Wall) and Rex. In the wake of Grace’s demise, Rex gave her inheritance money to Frankie, Vicky and Dillon Ray (Nathaniel Dass) as a way to make amends.

But after everything she’s been through, will Frankie finally get the chance at happiness she deserves?
