EastEnders’ Johnny Carter (Charlie Suff) looks set to take drastic action to save boyfriend Callum Highway (Tony Clay) after he’s set up by a cunning Tim Walton (Tom Ratcliffe) next week.
Johnny’s smarmy business partner has been showing an awful lot of unwanted interest in the Walford couple in recent months, and things reach a shocking head in forthcoming scenes when he implicates local copper Callum in crime in a bid to get his claws into Johnny.
It all begins after the loved-up lads hit a rocky patch this week when Callum receives divorce papers from estranged husband Ben Mitchell (Max Bowden).
Tim then swoops in to cause more trouble by trying to get Johnny to help him with an illegal favour – something Callum is appalled by.
Next week, however, things get more complicated when Callum receives a letter from ‘Ben’ asking for his help.

While Callum’s initial reaction is to not get involved with his ex, Ben’s mum Kathy Beale (Gillian Taylforth) convinces him to help Ben for the sake of his daughter Lexi Pearce (Isabella Brown), who is currently in Callum’s care while her dad is still in prison.
After hearing what’s been going on, Johnny’s mum Linda Carter (Kellie Bright) is concerned about his heart getting broken, and when she later bumps into Tim, he reveals that he’s set up a test to see whether Callum is really the man they all think he is.
Later, Callum arrives at the destination Ben has given him, only to realise it was trap that Tim had set up.
The bad news doesn’t stop there, though, as Tim then arrives with the damning footage of Callum and blackmails him.

While Johnny is furious that Callum went to help ‘Ben’ in the first place, he puts his feelings aside to try to reason with Tim.
